The up-to-date Outlook version works with a variety of email versions, including POP3, IMAP and Exchange. The problem is that POP3 and IMAP are email synchronization, not displaying calendar and contacts like emails of Exchanges. However, with Hotmail, you can synchronize your email, contacts, calendar with outlook with the Hotmail Connector. This will make it easy to view all your PIM data at anywhere. Follow the instructions to help set up Hotmail and Live Mail to your Outlook account.
The easiest way to add Hotmail to Outlook is to install Outlook Hotmail Connector (32 bit and 64 bit). Outlook need to be closed before proceeding with installation as usual.
If you sign up for a Hotmail account while setting up your New Outlook account before installing the Hotmail Connector, Outlook will help you get Hotmail Connector. However, you will have to exit Outlook before installing the Connector, and then have to log back your information when you restart Outlook. So it would be easier if you just installed Outlook.

Set up Hotmail via POP3
If you need to sign in to a Hotmail account but do not want to install the Outlook Connector, you can add it to POP3. In our opinion, using Outlook Connector is the best solution, but if you can not install it (for example, you can not install any programs on your computer), this is a good choice.
To install, follow the instructions below to set up a POP3 Gmail account on Outlook.the installation is almost identical. The only thing you want to change is the Incoming and Outgoing servers.
- Incoming mail server – pop3.live.com
- Outgoing mail server – smtp.live.com
- User name – your Hotmail or Live email address
- Username – email address of hotmail and Live
- Incoming Server (POP3) – 995
- Outgoing Server (SMTP) – 587
Just like Gmail, choose TLS to connect syncs. Then at the bottom of the screen, make sure you uncheck the Remove messages dialog box from the server in a few days. After doing these steps, your messages will still be stored in your Hotmail account.
Although Hotmail is not as popular as Gmail, it works really well when integrated with Outlook. If you are used to using a Windows Live service, or would like to try it out, the Outlook Connector is the easiest way to get your screen to work in sync with the cloud. You are just one of the millions of people using Hotmail who want to sign in to your old Hotmail account along with other accounts, this is also the best choice for you.
